Coffee in Seoul - Day 2

Lunch with Mike aka nicest dude ever

Tuesday was a pretty relaxed day. There was no additional rehearsal necessary, but I did need to go for a mini test-shoot.
First, I had lunch with my friend (no longer rent-a-friend) Mike, the guy who translated for me during my Star King trip. It was very nice to catch up with him. Then, it was off to the production company.
It was brought to my attention that there was an issue with my hairstyle. Apparently, the colors were too bright and clashed with my wardrobe. I only braided my hair this way because it was requested that I do so. SO, I was immediately on guard once other "options" were raised. The funniest thing - I was brought into the producers' office and on her computer screen was a website called "Black Perm"…. I was like "aww, hell to the niggity NAW." The website was all Asian people with dreads and various afro-like styles. Haha…uh uh, ladies and gentlemen - We are not about to be applying any perm of any kind onto this here cranium. Not unless you have a Ms. Dawn (my big sister) on the next plane to Seoul. I presented 2 options - 1. Dye the yarn braids black. 2. Cut the yarn braids and give me a wig to wear. And that concludes our list of possibilities.
Thank you, please drive thru.

Denied.

I explained that the braids were extensions and my hair was pretty short (having been skin shaven just last summer), so they should feel free to cut as much as necessary. I should've listened to my mommy - she TOLD me to pack a back-up wig (in case I needed to do a quick Beyonce), haha!
Afterwards, I got a much needed manicure, and I have to say…it was the best damn manicure I've ever had!! That girl totally hooked me up! I was tripping off my hands for the rest of the day!

Messy, but tasty!

Finally, it was dinner time. Of course, there was FAR too much food for me to deal with (especially since I'd changed into my party wear and didn't have much "full belly" room), but I did the best I could. I was partial to the jjajangmyun! Yum!!

Afterwards, we hooked up with the music coordinator at his studio and spent some time listening to tunes and sharing ideas. I had a great time, and being around musicians really got my creative wheels turning. Tons of ideas filled my head while just sitting there.
We went to a lounge to relax and enjoy food & drink. It was very nice, very chill…and thankfully not crowded. Also, there was a waiter there who I swear is one of the most gorgeous men I've ever seen. Like for real. I was wholly unprepared to deal with his face. It was sort of uncomfortable. I'm talking stupid hot, this guy. So, I kept ordering cocktails just so he'd come back over. Hallelujah for all the beautiful men in this world.

kickin' it

It was nice to just hang out with everyone - an old college mate even stopped by to join in the fun. All in all, a good night.
