The last couple of days in NYC have been maniacally hot. Like "I hate everyone" hot. Like "Don't touch me. Don't even look at me sideways" hot. Like "Don't talk to me, don't call me on my cell" hot. Like "Here's my BE-A-TOTAL-BITCH-for-24hrs coupon" hot.

Wow… I feel way behind. I tried to write a blog a few days ago, but nothing that interesting happened. It feels like I've been just going in a loop - sleep, eat, work, rehearsal, work. Nothing truly noteworthy has gone down. But I guess no news is good news, right? Oh yeah~ a lady fainted in church right in front of me and Molly. That was…interesting.
In other news, the rehearsals for Benny have been going well. The music is coming along and scenes are being blocked. Only glitch is that we lost our lead last night, so we're having another round of auditions this evening to find a new Benny. But we still have a couple of weeks before the show, so it shouldn't be too difficult if we select someone tonight.

Well, I've been here for a week now. It's hard to believe… my sense of time is all jacked up. I can't even say if it feels like less or more than a week. I only know it doesn't feel like a week. Does that make sense?
I still feel like I'm buzzing along by the skin of my teeth, but oh well. I'm not dead yet, so I must keep up the pace. Yesterday was our first day off. I had high hopes of catching up on work, but it didn't quite work out that way. Sure, I got some things done, but I didn't finish the piece I really had hoped to… weird thing about the creative process - it doesn't give a damn about your day off. It comes when it feels like it. All day yesterday, it didn't feel like it. Not until I just detached myself from the whole situation and took a nice long walk around the neighborhood, grabbed a coffee, and read my Kindle for a bit in the park. Once my head was clear, the juices started flowing.

So, I finally have discovered a pocket of time in which to blog. Time has lost all sense of depth to me…it just whizzes by, like a breeze. I anticipate minutes, but before I can realize them, they've dissipated. It's trippy, yo. There's so much I'm desperate to accomplish with this time in NYC, but I can't seem to plant my feet on the ground. It's okay, though. Life is awesome right now. I suppose it always was…I just had to get my mind right. I'm happy, I'm hopeful, my ambition is ablaze. I may feel like I'm speeding along, taunting a completely loss of control….but I'm confident that I'll crash into something amazing. Maybe I already have, and am just now refocusing my eyes to recognize the beautiful wreckage. Life is good. Time is a bitch. But life is good.

This week, I uploaded a kpop cover for the first time in a long time. But over the last couple of years, there have been many remixes & covers that never saw the light of day. I either became too distracted with other work, or I decided it sucked too hard to finish. It happens.

So last night, I decided that I should return my beloved HTC Evo 4G for a cheaper alternative. It seemed illogical to enter a 2-year contract with Sprint that I'd have to pay to terminate within a couple of months. Plus, it's not very smart to invest so much money in a phone with mounting international moving costs looming on the horizon. I could consider suspending my account when the time comes, but that possibility alone still doesn't outweigh the cons.

Despite the totally bizarre circumstances under which I was able to extend my stay in Seoul, I had a fantastic weekend!
(...and that's all I'll say about that) ;P
Friday, after settling into my new digs, I enjoyed some hardcore R&R. I don't think I was even aware of how exhausted I was. I curled up in my bed and ZONKED.
I woke up completely disoriented and unusually agitated about being in the hotel room.

Tuesday was a pretty relaxed day. There was no additional rehearsal necessary, but I did need to go for a mini test-shoot.
First, I had lunch with my friend (no longer rent-a-friend) Mike, the guy who translated for me during my Star King trip. It was very nice to catch up with him.
Then, it was off to the production company.

Well, this is my first morning in Seoul. I arrived last evening to the muggiest heat I've experienced all year. Seoul is definitely making up for all the summertime I've missed out on in San Francisco. My contacts from the agency (Miss & Mister from now on) are both very nice and I felt instantly comfortable with them. We had a big dinner (samgyeopsal, of course) - unfortunately, my eyes were much bigger than my tummy and I didn't eat as much as I wanted. The jet lag hit me like a brick.

My horoscope for today (via Susan Miller...the only Astrology site at which I don't completely scoff) read as follows:
"July 23 - The prospect of a different kind of career will have you on edge. Even though the end result will bring you a renewed focus, the journey will appear uncertain...

What the hell? I'm sorry (not really), but I have to just say it -- Sori be WACK. I remember seeing her "b-boy" promo vid a while back, and I still didn't understand the hype. A couple of b-boy-like poses and gymnastics stunts a true b-boy doth not make. I'm not even fully convinced she can really dance.

In this video, I celebrate the people all over the world with gaps between their front teeth. Hey mommy, They're just like ME!!!
I'll discuss the constraints for a "cosmetic" gap, gap-related haterade FAILS and romantic situations. I've even prepared a special slideshow and song to highlight some celebrity gappiness.
